7 Reasons You Should be Naked More Often

Naked November is almost over. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't continue to be naked! While you sleep naked, during our numerous ideas of fun, naked dates. It feels so good to be free of restrictions such as clothing, uniforms, and undergarments. Relax, unwind, and take a load off. We were born this way so, it's only natural to feel our most comfortable without anything blocking our freedom. Go ahead and peel away some of those extra layers even if it is winter, and turn up the heat so you can get naked with your partner. GetLusty's Eileen Prouffe reports.

Why be naked? Let me count the ways.

#1 It feels amazing

Don't tell me it doesn't feel amazing to take off those tighty whitey's and thongs at the end of the day. I know the less clothes you have on the better and more relaxed you feel. It's OK to admit that you feel more comfortable when you are less confined. Don't be afraid to let lose; your body will be pleased.

#2 Give your partner the gift of nakedness

It's the holiday season and we're all thinking about giving. This holiday season, give your partner your gift of nakedness! Don't cover yourself up and try to hide in the bathroom when you are changing or when you just got out of the shower. Show off your clean and beautiful body. Give your partner something to look at and admire. So many people worry about their significant other looking at other people. Maybe you should try giving them something to admire so they don't want to look around? Your partner wants to see you.

#3 Become more self-aware

It's possible that if you are naked more often then you might be more self aware and conscious of what your body needs. A lot of times in America, people cover up their bodies with lots of clothing and pretend to not see their body. This is not a good idea. We should be self aware of what we look like in the mirror and to others and do what we can to improve our bodies wherever we can. Working on improving ourselves will only benefit us and our families. Let's face it, none of us are perfect, nor ever will be, but we can still put great effort into looking our best by paying attention to our bodies needs like needing to exercise more, drinking more water, or watching our portion sizes.

#4 Better sleep

Not only can sleeping naked help you feel more comfortable, but feeling comfy helps you to have better quality sleep. Having more rest can help you to function better each day versus waking up with a stiff neck and feeling unrested. No clothes may help you get a better nights rest by not getting tangled up in a nightgown or all sweaty because you are too hot and then you wake up feeling that you are not ready to tackle the day. Avoid sleeping in work or school clothes at all costs.

#5 It's healthy

Going naked can help your skin and genitals breathe and get some air. Sleeping naked can help prevent infections or bacteria build up. Also, wearing clothes or socks that are too tight can lower your blood circulation. Have you ever woke up with a bunch of marks on your skin where your pajama pants were on your waist or where your socks were on your legs? Yes, these items were constricting the blood flow of your body which probably means you were getting less oxygen to your brain. Overall, you probably didn't feel as revived as you you could have been in the morning. Skip the tight clothes for bedtime and get naked!

#6 Less social anxiety about nudity

Get comfortable with your naked body! The more you do it, the easier it gets during social situations like undressing for the doctor, looking at nude/erotic art, or even changing in locker rooms. I can remember when I was about 12 and went to a local fitness club next door to my parents home and a bunch of older women were completely naked and talking to each other like they were fully clothed. I couldn't believe it. However, I look back and now fully understand that they had nothing to hide and were completely comfortable with their bodies. This is something we should all strive for. There should be no shame in our game.

#7 Naked yoga

For those of you who like yoga or for those of you haven't tried yoga yet, you should try naked yoga. This is a great way for people to get in touch with your body, mind, and soul. No clothes to get in the way of stretching and creating your best pose.

I haven't tried it yet personally, but I really want to! It sounds very healing and relaxing. Don't be afraid to branch out and try something new. You can probably even get a private session if your not ready for a full blown class. This would be a great experience for you and your partner. Naked yoga here I come!

Want Better Sex? Sleep! 5 Tips to Sleep Blissfully

When you find yourself only getting six or less hours of sleep, not only does your sex life suffer. You also have a higher chance of becoming obese, a heart attacks and type 2 diabetes. We have already explained 5 sexual benefits that you'l receive from gaining more sleep. Now, here are five things you can do to get to sleep faster leading to those numerous sexual benefits! #1 Turn off electronics

Television and computers are both stimulants. According to the National Sleep Foundation, "doing work, watching TV and using the computer both close to bedtime and especially in the bedroom, hinders quality sleep." News or violent television shows can be agitating. Also, because your eyes associate light to sunshine, staring into a bright TV can confuse your body and prevent the sleepiness hormone, melatonin from being released.

The rule is that your bedroom should only be used for sleep and sex. Turn off all electronics at least an hour before bedtime. Use this time to connect to your partner in bed.

#2 Eat three hours before bed

Eating a large meal or snack before bed may make us feel sleepy, but it won't help once we lie down. When you lie down your digestion slows, making you feel uncomfortable and possibly unable to fall asleep. Eating three hours before bedtime and eating no more than 600 calories will help you fall asleep fast. Also, limit your fat intake in the evening because fat is another instigator in lack of sleep.

#3 Limit alcohol consumption

Alcohol is a stimulate. Having a glass of red wine at night is heart healthy, but having a bottle before bed will keep you awake for hours. A common misconception is that red wine makes us sleepy. But in reality, booze delays the onset of and shortens REM sleep. Sure red and white wine have melatonin. But that sleep inducing hormone is offset by the alcohol and its interference with REM sleep. So, have a glass with dinner and then move on to decaffeinated tea.

#4 Meditate

Meditation or doing some light yoga by candlelight will help your head hit the pillow quicker. While meditating, sit upright in a comfortable seat or lay in bed on your back. Focus on breathing exercises. As you inhale, count to 10. Then as you exhale countdown from 10. Do this to soothing non-lyrical music, or in silence. Focusing on your breath will help you reach a calm, meditative state and you will be asleep in no time! If yoga is more your style, take 10 minutes to relax in passive, restorative poses, like reclined supta baddha konasana. Lie on your back, draw the soles of your feet together and allow your knees to fall open to the side. Breathe here for a few minutes allowing your hips to open up and letting your day go. Yoga Journal is full of many more restorative poses that will help you reach nirvana in no time!

#5 Have a routine

Routines are pivotal in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Fun fact: It can take a month for someone to break or start a new habit. Having a nighttime routine is essential for getting the right amount of sleep and therefore having a fresh start the next day.  Begin to wind down a few hours before bed by drinking some tea, reading, take a bath, meditating or having sex! Keep this routine for a month until it becomes second nature.

5 Sex Benefits of Getting More Sleep

It's not a myth that the more sleep you get, the better you feel. We have already found that sex leads to a better nights sleep. Six to seven hours of sleep a night will leave you feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready to conquer the day. Little to no sleep feels like a horrid hangover and your day will never reach its full potential. Getting sleep isn't just important for your health though. The more sleep you get, the better sex you will have. Take care of your sexual health by simply closing your eyes! GetLusty's Lora Swarts reports on the 5 sex benefits of getting more sleep.

#1 Increased libido

More sleep means more energy. When we get a good nights sleep, our bodies are physically and mentally healthier. Your sex drive will sky rocket when you allow yourself six or more hours of sleep a night. Exhaustion can trigger low sex drive and desire. Anxiety, stress and worry are also linked to less desire for men and women. Women's sexual drive is a result of emotions and physical factors. Because sleep helps us regulate our emotions, it's no surprise that more sleep equals more desire. Maintain a consistent sleep schedule to increase your libido and sexual health.

#2 Last longer

Do you limit your sexual encounters to quickies because of exhaustion? Well, maintaining a consistent sleep schedule and nighttime routine can lead to lasting longer. If you are too tired, or have to wake up early the next day, have sex earlier in the day so you don't have to choose between sex and sleep.

#3 Higher testosterone

According to a study printed in The Journal of the American Medical Association, 15% of working adults in the U.S. get less than 5 hours of sleep each night. The study revealed a reduction in testosterone levels. The loss was comparable to aging 10 to 15 years. Since testosterone is a leading sex hormone in men, you need to keep your testosterone levels high to keep some vibrancy in your sex life. It's recommended to have 6 to 8 hours of non-interrupted sleep. If you're not falling into REM sleep during those 6 to 8 hours, then you're not getting a healthy amount of sleep.

#4 More sexual energy

According to the National Sleep Foundation, 26 percent of persons complain about a lackluster sex life because they are too tired. When we are tired, our sexual energy drops. So gaining a little bit of sleep each night can help curb low energy. The more rested you are, the more sexual energy you will have for foreplay and trying out new sexual positions. Who needs caffeine when more sleep is the simple cure for a more adventurous and energetic sex life?

#5 Healthier sexual well being
More sleep can lead to a healthier weight, better memory, lower stress levels, curb depression, and an overall healthy body and mind. Being at a healthier weight, having the energy to workout, and feeling emotionally balanced can all lead to better sex.

Feeling good on the inside leads to feeling better on the outside. When we are more confident in ourselves and our lives, we will want to have more sex. Don't forget to sleep well tonight and maybe schedule sex after a long night's sleep?
